The Black Forest is famous for it's cuckoo clocks. In 1737 the first cuckoo clock has been invented by the clock maker Franz Ketterer in our village Schönwald in the Black Forest. Form and decoration, lovely and detailed carvings, the system of the cuckoo call and the mechanical clock movement have been maintained until today. This originality has made the cuckoo clock a timeless product.
