The angel is one of the central figures of the Erzgebirge Christmas tradition and symbolises peace, hope and security - values that are particularly noticeable during the Advent season. The 40 cm tall light figure carries a finely crafted yoke with four candle holders, which are suitable for classic pyramid candles with a diameter of 14 mm. A special detail is the double-sided lettering on the yoke: on the one hand, glory to God in the highest, on the other and peace on earth. The yoke can be rotated freely so that the desired message can be individually aligned. Made of selected wood, assembled in traditional handicraft and carefully varnished, the angel of lights impresses with its upright posture, calm charisma and deep symbolism and thus becomes a lasting eye-catcher in every Christmas decoration.

The Company Seiffener Volkskunst eG was founded in 1958 by artisans of Seiffen. In 1959 they started with the production of original Erzgebirge crafts. They carved, turned, spanning trees were stung, items painted and mounted to Erzgebirge wood art figures. The range has been extended again and again in the following years. They manufactured not only nutcrackers, also different types of smokers, light figures Angel and Miner, pyramids and small arches and the later known Striezel children. Since 1992, the Seiffener Volkskunst eG is presented at numerous trade fairs. Apart from the traditional and original items, numerous new collections were created. The Seiffener Volkskunst eG is also member of the Association of Erzgebirge craftsman and toy manufacturers eV.
