The miner is one of the most important figures of the Erzgebirge Christmas tradition and in this special version carries a richly detailed yoke with four electric LED flame candles (16 V, 0.2 W), which is supplied including transformer and spare bulb and is immediately ready for use. A special feature is the inscription on both sides of the yoke with Glory to God on high on the one hand and Peace on Earth on the other, which can be rotated freely and gives the figure an individual, expressive effect. The 46 cm tall Lichterminmann is traditionally handmade, lacquered and painted by hand; its clear design language, electric lighting and symbolic lettering make it an impressive appearance in any Christmas decoration.

The Company Seiffener Volkskunst eG was founded in 1958 by artisans of Seiffen. In 1959 they started with the production of original Erzgebirge crafts. They carved, turned, spanning trees were stung, items painted and mounted to Erzgebirge wood art figures. The range has been extended again and again in the following years. They manufactured not only nutcrackers, also different types of smokers, light figures Angel and Miner, pyramids and small arches and the later known Striezel children​​. Since 1992, the Seiffener Volkskunst eG is presented at numerous trade fairs. Apart from the traditional and original items, numerous new collections were created.
