The bell angel is an impressive figure of the Erzgebirge Christmas tradition, which combines the classic angel motif with loving mechanics. In one hand the figure holds a candlestick, in the other a detailed miniature pyramid that begins to rotate due to the rising heat of the candles. With each gentle turn, a filigree mechanism is set in motion, which makes a small golden bell ring, whereby the quiet striking is caused solely by the movement of heat - without any electronics. The result is a silent spectacle of light, movement and sound that creates space for reflection and tradition. Crafted by hand from selected wood, carefully lacquered and assembled in several steps, the bell angel with a height of 40 cm is not only a technical work of art, but also a decorative highlight in every Christmas staging.

The Company Seiffener Volkskunst eG was founded in 1958 by artisans of Seiffen. In 1959 they started with the production of original Erzgebirge crafts. They carved, turned, spanning trees were stung, items painted and mounted to Erzgebirge wood art figures. The range has been extended again and again in the following years. They manufactured not only nutcrackers, also different types of smokers, light figures Angel and Miner, pyramids and small arches and the later known Striezel children. Since 1992, the Seiffener Volkskunst eG is presented at numerous trade fairs. Apart from the traditional and original items, numerous new collections were created. The Seiffener Volkskunst eG is also member of the Association of Erzgebirge craftsman and toy manufacturers eV.
