The miner is one of the most important figures in the Erzgebirge Christmas tradition and, as a bearer of light, symbolises hope, strength and the deep connection with the region's crafts to this day. This 29 cm tall light figure is traditionally handcrafted and impresses with its clear design language as well as the high-quality glaze, which stylishly accentuates the natural wood structure. The two candle holders in his hands can be equipped with either classic pyramid candles with a diameter of 14 mm or with modern Lumix candles, both variants of which are available in our shop, so that atmospheric lighting with a traditional or contemporary character is created as desired. Made of selected wood, carefully glazed and lovingly assembled, the miner is suitable as a decorative accent on the window sill or as a high-quality gift at Christmas time.

The Company Seiffener Volkskunst eG was founded in 1958 by artisans of Seiffen. In 1959 they started with the production of original Erzgebirge crafts. They carved, turned, spanning trees were stung, items painted and mounted to Erzgebirge wood art figures. The range has been extended again and again in the following years. They manufactured not only nutcrackers, also different types of smokers, light figures Angel and Miner, pyramids and small arches and the later known Striezel children​​. Since 1992, the Seiffener Volkskunst eG is presented at numerous trade fairs. Apart from the traditional and original items, numerous new collections were created. The Seiffener Volkskunst eG is also member of the Association of Erzgebirge craftsman and toy manufacturers eV.
